Darren Crombie
Founder
Darren is the founder of Upstream Health and lead for Team Bridgit. He has experience in building teams and start-ups to deliver technology and health innovation, with a focus on improving social outcomes. Prior to founding Upstream he managed a care team responsible for looking after an amazing group of patients in Manchester, where he learnt a lot about the gap in health technology for family carers and the people they care for. This, combined with Darren's hands on experience with his Grandad Doug, led him on a path to create Bridgit, with the simple objective of helping family carers all over the UK. Darren also helps other health tech founders, students and fellow makers so if you’d like any support with your ideas please get in touch with Charlie to organise a meet.

Jack Ford

If the Bridgit Home hub had a dad it would be Jack! Jack has spent over a year now working diligently on the firmware and hardware that powers our Bridgit Home Hubs. He loves figuring out how technology can help, and brings together his deep knowledge of embedded systems, with a desire to make a difference to our family carers. He’s been a key part of the Bridgit leadership team and part of our core #AIforgood cohort working closely with Microsoft and other start-ups. In short Jack is awesome and we love having him leading and helping us on our journey.

Julie Crombie
Office
The Bridgit Team is growing fast and Julie is helping to make that happen! As our Office Manager she is responsible for day to day running of the business, helping to look after our team and also help with recruitment. Julie provides the direction on HR, policies, working arrangements and to support us all in delivering our Bridgit vision. As well as managing the office, she brings years of experience and passion in supporting hundreds of clients with goal setting and 1-2-1 coaching to help them on their personal journeys. With the launch of our Bridgit Care coach service this experience will be key to help us, help others. Julie is committed to encouraging continuous professional development within the workforce in order to make individuals and the team be the best they can be.

Natalie Cowell
Carers Support
Natalie is our Carers Support Service Lead. Natalie’s aim is to use her experience in adult health & social care and coordinating volunteer teams to help create, launch and lead a unique supportive service for unpaid carers in the U.K. She is excited to see how this service develops and evolves to help carers in different ways in the future. Natalie is passionate about helping carers and the cared for. She understands what challenges they are facing daily and aims to help them in all areas of their lives. She is understanding, friendly and always willing to help. Book in your care coach appointment and receive some fab advice and support from Natalie!
