Why don’t you try? : Try these tips to ease into making new friends
Some easier ways to start making new friends:
- Consider joining a group or class that focuses on something you enjoy; you could ask to go along and just watch first if you’re feeling nervous.
- Consider visiting places where you can just be around other people & for example, a park, the cinema or a café.
- Be a good neighbour – one of the easiest places to find friends is within your neighbourhood. Try to be courteous and nice to the people who live around you. Making new friends doesn’t need to be a struggle at all & friendships can come naturally when you’re friendly, polite and respectful to the people in your neighbourhood. Show genuine interest in them, be positive and you’ll see how more and more people will want to be around you.
