Caring Role

My loved one doesn’t get out much

Why don’t you try? : Encourage your loved one to get out and about

Walking
Ramblers work to promote walking for pleasure, health, leisure and transport to everyone, of all ages, backgrounds and abilities, in towns and cities as well as in the countryside. If your loved one likes to walk, encourage them to find a local group and join in.

Joining an older people’s group
There are many social groups organised by older people for older people throughout the UK. So whether they’re interested in finding new friends or making their voice heard on issues that affect people in later life, there’s a group for them. You can find walking groups on the Age UK Website.
